New poker room just opened up at The Venetian. Anyone check it out yet?

I'll be there from July 2nd-7th...

Yes. It sucked. They wouldn't let anyone play for the longest time, and were dicks about it. I won't be playing there.

Actually, the room was open for media, celebs, invitees and pros for a tourney from 9-11pm. They opened the room up at 11pm for the general public.

Security was being pricks though. Every other guy had a different idea of what was going on. One says..oh yeah its open to anyone. Another says...NO WAY...no one goes in tonight whatsoever and so on.

Other than a lot of crap about opening night jitters, it's been difficult to get any meaningful information.

From my friend, playing there right now:

- the room is gorgeous. He calls it "amazing" and he's been in as many as I have...which is too many.
- dealers have been good to very good so far.
- drink service is completely different. A waitress every ten minutes. The food is top-rate.
- the staff have been buzzing around asking if they should improve anything, so things will change for the better.

Sounds like a winner. I am going to park my butt in that room for four days in June just to see.

Opening night they had 2x 20/40 limit games going. Zero action. All tight ass rocks sitting in that and the 2/5 NL games.
