Borgata's new Poker room

Does anyone have a firm date for the opening of the new room? Last I heard they were saying sometime in May of 2006

If it's May, and that's a big if...it'll be very late May.

I called there on Sunday and spoke to a floor guy.
Anyway, he said the expanded room will be 80+ tables (36 now), and will be open for the 4th of July weekend.

How have the waits on nights/weekends been lately ?
I actually played at the Trop last trip to AC.

FWIW-I asked him if they'll spread some non-HE games, and he said they get a $15/30/45 7CS game every weekend, and lately have been getting a $4/8 O8 game. He said that there will be, "More stud action" after the expansion.

Maybe they plan on taking ALL of the action away from the Taj, even the 7CS & Omaha games.

If Borg gets the 75 stud game, I probably will not be visiting the Taj too often.

That's the official grand opening. They're going to have a soft opening as soon as they can move in there.

Soft - they run games/transition from the old room. Official would be the hoopla and party and stuff.

Just like Foxwoods had a soft opening and then the whole Carmen Electra thing.
