Satellites. Never never never never fold to the money

21 places pay out, I'm in 1st place with 30 players left. I start the supposed tried and true strategy of folding into the money. Never played another hand.

Finished 22nd.

I know I've read many times satellite strategy is not to risk it after a certain point, but it's just not good advice unless you've 6-7x the average stack. With everyone stalling, the blinds go up every orbit. My 1st place 3x average stack was destroyed by the blinds. By the time I could see I might be in trouble, I didn't have the cards to make a stand.

One of the most depressing poker nights of my life. 3 hours spent, the rush of knowing I was in, then seeing it slip away doing what I thought was the right thing.

I think its a reference to finaltablehelp.com or whatever the site was. You can get someone on aim to play your final table for you in exchange or 10% of profits.
