default line for big draw OOP?
more or less standard?
CR all-in on the turn maybe? PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) converter UTG ($63.20) UTG+1 ($26.25) MP1 ($10) MP2 ($4.50) MP3 ($9.75) CO ($29.25) Button ($34.85) Hero ($48.25) BB ($23.55) Preflop: Hero is SB with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. MP1 posts a blind of $0.50. UTG calls $0.50, UTG+1 calls $0.50, MP1 (poster) checks, MP2 calls $0.50, 3 folds, Hero completes, BB checks. Re: default line for big draw OOP?
I think it's played well. I don't cr the turn because BB is giving you an incredible price on your monster draw. Take the discount and check/fold the river unimproved, bet 15-20 if you river the straight or flush.

Re: default line for big draw OOP?
This looks OK. Why would you bluff all in on the turn, you still have to hit to win the main pot we presume, and it's possible someone has filled up.

Re: default line for big draw OOP?
Well, yeah I don't know why I'd check-raise the turn. I guess because the side pot is as big as the main pot after he bets and that bet looks weak. But the board pairing was a pretty big deal to me and like another poster said, I was getting great odds on the turn. Just making sure all was well with my line.

Re: default line for big draw OOP?
I like a raise preflop for value.
I like the turn too, a c/r all in might be better than just calling with a read. BB has shown no strength, his bet is pretty weak, and he may be drawing (possibly to the same flush as you). He might also be trying to trap you with a jack. I think he folds a better hand often enough to an all-in to make it profitable. Overall, I think it was played pretty well, you got great value on the flop and you drew cheap on the turn. |
