Default Overpair OOP facing a raise on flop

Villian is TPP. Stats are 14.5/4.6/.5
.25/.50 NL We both have stack sizes of ~$70.

I raise from late EP with QQ and get a caller in MP and villian calls on button.

Pot is $6.25

Flop 3d Js 9c

I bet $4.50. MP folds. Button raises 13.00. What should I do? What's my move on the turn and for the rest of the hand?

those are set miner stats. i'd strongly lean toward folding. your other option is to call the flop and lead a non A turn, folding to a raise UI.

Id call his flop re-raise, and pot a safe turn..then fold if he re-raises all in.

Fold, he's a tightwad. look at his stats. unless you've seen him pull the same move with AJ...

I was thinking either he had AJ and thought I was making a cbet or he had a set (but why not wait until the turn to pop me with a set?).

I agree, I think my best option if I continued playing is to lead the turn.

If I get called on the turn. Should I plan to c/c the river? By that time the river bet likely be an all in bet...

Total set miner stats. I would fold the flop.

About 15 hands before the hand I saw him make this play...

He was in the BB HU with the SB, unraised.

flop is 9d 5c 4c

SB bets out like a $1 and he raises all in (for the SB's ~$20). SB calls with top pair 9c 7c and he shows 2c 3c. But the river is a 6 so he takes it down.

Any thoughts on my play after this one?

he had an OESFD there . . . based on those stats, hes mining sets/monsters. that aggression is so low hes not raising w/o a monster

if hes trying to snap off a Cbet and had called PF w/ something like AJs, he'd probably just call the flop

i fold the flop here. if you must play, call the flop, 1/2 the turn and fold to a raise. if he calls the turn, check and only call the smallest of bets

Ok, I did end up folding the flop. Glad to see that is the consensus.
