FightClub-

Many players will play a set this way at this level, I wouldn't be surprised to see TPGK+ overplayed here at 100NL, but at this point I want to exercise some pot control in the hand. This is a very dry board and I disagree with BalugaWhale about pushing the turn. I call turn and reevaluate the river, I might fold to a push sometimes, I might call sometimes, it comes down to reads, but in general if we call turn we are often calling the river.

i have rethought. We have no reason to push the turn. We let a J off easy.

Call the turn.

call a river push. If checked to, put it all in on the river.

does anyone like 3 betting the flop and folding to a push any better here? or does everyone just call the minraise, it seems like the only turn we like is a K

I was just about to post this, so i agree with you:

OK anyone know a good line to avoid getting all in here? My idea: Re-raise the flop, fold to a push/ shut down (if called).

What does 3-betting the flop accomplish other than folding out hands we beat and getting called by hands that have us drawing to 2 outs (barring the occaisional idiot of course, but this is not the case in this hand?)

All-

I am often folding to a river push here. I don't have as much experience at 100NL as some here, but I don't think you will see TPGK-TPTK or worse, over-played this way often enough to make calling the river, everytime we call turn, profitable vs. an unknown.

Ness-

Could it be you're posting better than you play?! Are you honestly folding the turn here?
