KQs river value bet?
Live 8/16 loose-passive game. 3 call, I raise K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on the button. Both blinds and limpers call.
Flop: J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB checks, BB bets, 1 call, 2 folds, I raise, SB folds, other two call. Turn: K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Check, check, I bet, both call. River: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Check, check, I...? BB will bet top pair, AT, or straight draw, and other caller is calling down with any piece of it. They both think along the line of "he raised the flop, he might have a set, I better just call down with my two pair (either flopped or turned)", but they would also expect me to bet the river so they can check raise a made straight. Is the range of what I beat too small for a bet here? Do I play it safe or am I being a wuss and losing money by not betting? |

Re: KQs river value bet?
I would bet/fold the river. Loose passives will call down with any piece of the flop. True, you will be beat sometimes here, but I think more often than not your good.

Re: KQs river value bet?
I'd bet the river heads up if I knew my opponent likes to call with any piece. Three way I check the river. If you don't get check-raised you're going to be shown TP, with that board, too much of the time to bet, imo.

Personaly, I think I would check. I think if you bet you're only going to get called by two pair or better.
