Default Table selection

I know that table selection is very important...but I wanted to see how much of a difference it makes. I took my 25 loosest table sessions and my 25 tightest table sessions (session min 100 hands) and the following is what I found. My session record at the tightest tables was 12-13 with an average loss per session of 1.5 bb/100.

At the loosest tables my session record was 17-8 with an average win per session of 6.8 bb/100.

Just to clarify, I used ASF from PT, to define the tightness or looseness of the table.

Tight tables 2.07bb/100

Wow X, I find that surprising that you do better against the tighter players......any tips you care to share when playing tight players? I find that generally happens against tight players with me, is that I win the small pots and lose the big ones.

Weird, I got:

Loose: 1.53
Tight: 3.69

Sample size was only about 1k hands for each and I filtered out .5/1 and 1/2 since those games are just too easy.

What is your definition as tight or loose in PT?

I just used the ASF in PT like OP suggested...I didn't filter out sessions under 100 hands cuz that would be filtering too many of my sessions. The tightest games all have ASF below 30 and the loosest games all have ASF above 50.

Yes, the answer for xCEO is to only play uber-tight tables. LPPs and LAGs are over-rated.

How do you only show sessions with a certain minimum number of hands and how do you isolate sessions with ASF above or below some amount?
