Default $100 AK TPTK Turn Decision

I am fairly new to the table, but villain appears to be solid. I have not played much NL ring, and wanted to know the best action on the turn. I thought checking was the best action at the time, but now I feel that it makes the river hard to play. Would betting 3/4 of the pot be better than checking on the turn? Comments on pre-flop and flop play are also greatly appreciated. I have $140 and villain has me covered.

applejuicekid,

You HAVE to bet this turn, and this hand shows the exact reason why. He could have Ac2h, and you're letting him outdraw you for free. Now, I presume that if the last heart didn't hit, you were still going to call a 2/3 pot bet on the river anyway, so why not make that bet on the turn to price him out of a draw, and if he C/R, then you can fold easily
