Default how do you play your draws?

how do you play your open-enders and flushdraws?
do you check them or do you bet them?
if you bet, them how much do you bet?
would it be incorrect to bet more than you otherwice are justifyed to call regarding the pot odds?
or do you compleatly disregard them cus of the implied odds you get? I see people all the time betting their openended straight draws with half pot size bets, and even with flushdraws and I often wonder if this can be profitable in the long run, the reason I'm asking is I am converting from limit hold'em and I need to set this straight,

bet because when we bet with our draws as well as our made hands it disguises our play and makes us less predictable

I play them similar to my made hands and continuation bets. This keeps people guessing as to if I've got a hand or not.

ok. but how much do you bet?
lets say you have a openended straight draw,
thats little less 5 to 1
wouldn't it be incorrect to bet more than 1 on that 5 dollar pot?

no because you get added value from
1. opponents fold equity
2. deception of your hand when you make your draw. most cards will look like you have not improved your hand.

I like to bet as much as I would if I had a hand, like TPTK, a set, straight, whatever, and the same size as my continuation bets. The reason behind this is to make it so that players can't read you based on your bet sizes. You can't, for example, bet pot with a made hand, like a set, and then bet 1/4 pot when you're drawing. People will easily pick up on that.

I like to pot it like I would bet a made hand...if I get raised and have a moster draw I am reraising/pushing.
