Default When to take a shower when flying cross-country

Ack, 6am flight from the west coast to the midwest. I don't want to get up at 4:30am, take a shower, and wake up my roomates, but I also don't want to show up grungy at my destination. My hotel room should be ready by the time I arrive, but if it isn't I have to meet my potential advisor sans daily hygeine.

So, when facing an early flight and an early meeting, should I shower tonight, shower in the wee hours, or take a chance on the hotel tomorrow?

On behalf of everyone you'll be flying with, please shower before your flight.

I don't understand people who get woken up by someone taking a shower. Do it in the morning.

yeah, I dont get the waking people up thing either. Do you rub one off and scream while doing it or something?

All that said, just shower before you go to bed. Unless you are some gross mofo who never changes his sheets or a bed wetter, Im thinking youll wake up pretty clean.

I live with some light sleepers, and have some seriously squeaky boards in front of the bathroom. Between the two, I know one of my roomies will wake up and be none too happy because of it.

I believe in being courteous in the morning, unlike most people(experience with large family and later with MANY MANY roommates) -- I don't clang pots and pans around and such while making breakfast, turn on the radio, etc. But certain things you just gotta do. Showering is one of them.

Definitely after you arrive. Hauling luggage around and sitting for hours in a stuffy airplane can really build up a case of the stinks. Which is why before you take off is a must, too. You don't want to already have a head start on the stink before you start to build up the stink proper, or you'll be greasy as hell and smell like a dead bear by the time you leave the airport and get your stuff up to your room.
