Just Starting Back at MTTs
Ok, I have been playing 6max limit pretty much exclusively the last few months. I played MTTs for a year awhile back, but I feel like my game has come a long way since the last time I played MTTs. Here are a few marginal situations that I just don't know how to play.
Hand #1: Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx BB (t2363) UTG (t1825) UTG+1 (t4314) UTG+2 (t3495) MP1 (t5732) MP2 (t3322) MP3 (t3422) CO (t3807) Hero (t3872) SB (t1151) Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 4 folds, MP2 calls t100, MP3 raises to t200, 1 fold, Hero raises to t400, SB raises to t1151, 2 folds, MP3 calls t951, Hero folds. Hand #2: Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx Button (t1308) SB (t1083) BB (t3527) UTG (t5430) UTG+1 (t5082) UTG+2 (t6537) MP1 (t6946) MP2 (t2007) Hero (t3672) CO (t6762) Preflop: Hero is MP3 with T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG raises to t200, 4 folds, Hero folds... In the first hand, while getting laid great odds to call, I assume that I will end up all-in in this hand, especially if an ace hits. If MP3 doesn't call, I certainly do. I also should mention that in the heat of multi-tabling, i failed to realize that MP3 raised to 200 before it was my turn to act. If I would have been paying attention, I certainly would have raised to a larger amount (~600). That may have been my downfall. I know I am totally newbin at MTTs right now, thanks for any advice. -Jaxx |

Re: Just Starting Back at MTTs
Hand 1 I'm at least calling and considering pushing to try and isolate with all the dead money in the pot. As you noted your miniraise sucks.
Hand 2 Looks fine. |
