Seeing people you know are famous, but don\'t know from where
Today my girlfriend and I were walking around the monuments in DC when we decided to go to the Jefferson Memorial because I always want to go there but never bother to.
Anyway, we're sitting on the steps when I see this guy walking around, and I know that I know him, but can't remember from where. The first thing that I thought was that he was the guy from Predator, but no, that was Carl Weathers and this guy definitely was NOT Apollo Creed. Who was he? I couldn't stop thinking about it. I thought he was on TV, not movies. Maybe in a cop show? No, not a cop, a teacher or something, no, a coach, that's it. He played a football coach somewhere, right? Boston Public? No, they didn't have a football coach. Definitely a football coach or something to do with coaching or sports, but probably football. I saw a couple of people go up to him and ask him for an autograph and to get a picture with him, so it wasn't just me, he's clearly somebody famous, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Anyway, it turns out the guy was James Brown, the Fox Football commentator. What should I have done? I thought about just walking up to him and asking but who the [censored] would do that? Just walk up to some guy while he going around the monuments with his wife and be like "Hey, I know you from somewhere. You're obviously kinda famous but clearly not famous enough for me to ACTUALLY know who you are, so who the [censored] are you," but how rude would that have been? Anyway, what would you have done? |

you should have asked him if Urkel was always annoying on set.
after the confusion clears you can show massive disappointment that he is not in fact carl winslow. |

A real akward situation occurs when the guy you recognize but don't know ends up standing near you and has the look of "why aren't you on my nuts? I'm famous!"

[/ QUOTE ] The funny thing about this is that as soon as I said "I think he played a cop on a TV show," my girlfriend's response was "It's definitely Carl Winslow," which, of course, it wasn't. |
