I check/call.
I think we probably should have led the flop. |

I don't know what range we should assign to Villain, but he's been playing like someone with a pocket pair or maybe a big ace. (A hand he decided to slowplay beginning on the turn can't be completely ruled out, though.)
So, then, here are some combos: QQ = 6 JJ = 6 AQ = 12 AJs = 3 88 = 6 77 = 6 I don't know how we should weight these possibilities, but I'm thinking we can check-call, getting 7:1. I'd suggest a bet-fold, but I doubt Villain will drop QQ or JJ, and since he's sLA, there's some chance he'll bluff-raise to represent the ace. If you don't think Villain will 3-bet pocket pairs below 99 preflop, then I think it's time to give up, unless Villain is the type to 3-bet hands like 98s on occasion. |

If you want to lead the turn on a blank, why wouldn't you bring it on the flop? If this guy aggressive, the donk is sort of begging for a raise, which I can't really see you being able to call.

[/ QUOTE ] I wouldn't lead the turn. I would check-call or check-fold. (I don't know which, partly because the read we have is a little vague, and I'm not sure what kind of range to give Villain.) If we can count on Villain raising better hands and just better hands, though, leading the turn is a way to potentially get away from our hand more cheaply (versus calling down). And I'd imagine we'll face auto-raises less often on the turn than on the flop. Also, we do deny a check-behind to AQ, if that's what Villain has and that's what he'd do. (It doesn't sound like he's checking behind very often, though.) We're also not giving AQ particularly good odds, and that's good for us if Villain won't bet it himself and won't bluff-raise. |
