How did I do here?

I agree with almost everyone above: bet the turn!

What was your thinking here? That SB check-raised you with a flush draw and then went for the c/r again after making his flush? This is of course not impossible, but I'd say a weak J or a medium pair is much more likely. And, as stated above you just can't give a lone diamond a free card.

So to spell things out for the newbie:

villain is probably going to CR on the turn if we bet, but we should do it anyway so he has to at least pay to see the river? Does this still make sense if we think we have less than 50% pot equity (which seems to be the case here)?

Please educate the newbie (me).
