Default Memory reqd for 10 tables PT + HUD?

Would greatly appreciate your thoughts on this:

I play 10 tables and ideally would like to have PT and HUD going at the same time. However my computer can't handle it. It's a relatively recent Toshiba laptop with 256 memory.

What do you advise?

Would getting a computer with a bigger memory 512/1024 help?

Thanks.

The best thing I can say is that I 9 tabled on my dads comp (512) and it didn't work. I 10 tabled on my comp (3GB) and it worked. I'd imagine 1 GB should do the trick.

2 GB is much better than 1gb. My laptop has 1GB but gets hot while running more than 7 tables with HUD. In addition I run PT on the desktop. My desktop runs all three with 1GB but after about 1500 hands 10 tabling, its time for a reboot.

Good Luck.

Second that. 1GB would be the absolute minimum. That's what I have, and things slow down noticably for me at 6 tables. (With PT and HUD on same laptop.)

Go wtih 2GB if possible.

At least 1GB for database, poker, and constant redrawing purposes (plus other programs).
