Default Prop bet over the internet -- third party to hold the money?

I want to make a prop bet with another 2+2 poster for several thousand dollars. I've never met this person in real life. Given that it's just a stranger on the internet, I think if I win the chances he won't pay me are quite high. I'm sure he thinks the same of me. The solution is, we need an independent third party to hold the money, evaluate who won, and pay the winner. Is there some website somewhere that can do this?

All I know is you need an "Escrow service." Perhaps someone here can recommend a good one.

Can you prove the outcome without the third party present?

If the winner is easily proven I would be willing to be a medium. I would provide another contact in case something happened to me. I would do this without any financial compensation.

Thank you,

It was an over/under on how many people would volunteer to hold the money.

You're probably honest, but I have no way of knowing for sure. There have been enough cases of 2+2'ers conning each other that I can't use another poster. I was hoping there was some kind of reputable web site that specialized in this kind of thing.

It's about whether I can pick stocks that beat the market average. It's explained in this thread.

Find a reputable escrow service. Be careful, as many of them are scam artists, however.

"Probably" isn't the word for our Jim. It's "definitely".

However, if you'd feel happier using a service of some sort, I'd guess that a sportsbook-type of site, such as Betfair, would probably hold the bet, for juice of about 2.5% or 5%.
