No sweating at CB?
BK told me he heard this was a new rule at Canterbury. Can someone confirm/deny this and if it is true explain to me why and how much longer it'll be till there is no talking allowed at the tables too.

Re: No sweating at CB?
That is absolutely absurd, if this is true, Canterbury has stooped to a new low. I am sick of the Monopoly they have on poker, it is about time a different casino opened up a competitive cardroom. Stopping this will change the game a ton, a lot of the friend aspect will be lost. The general play will be more intense and just not as fun. And as a player who goes there for fun, I am just not sure if they still have my business or not.

Re: No sweating at CB?
I got yelled by a dealer at Wynn for "talking about a hand after it was over, because I was not in it". I was confused as could be afterwards.
We aren't that far away. |

Re: No sweating at CB?
are these casinos showing substantial profits from the poker rooms, or are they providing card rooms to get people in the doors hoping they'll make a stop at the BJ table?
p.s. i'm pretty out of my element here, and i'm not even sure if this place offers BJ or other games. i just don't understand the logic behind poker rooms being extremely genial to there customers. |

Re: No sweating at CB?
I was there two weeks ago, it is true. You are NOT allowed to show other players at the table your hand. You CAN table your hand for everyone to see. You CAN let a buddy/wife/etc sit behind you and sweat your cards if they are not in the game.
I have to say, I like the rule. When I played 30/60 there it seemed like someone was showing a hand and then mucking nearly every time. It's just not fair. Come on, just muck 'em. edit: i'd say about 25% of the dealers were enforcing the rule while i was there. most of the time the dealers didn't. the floor did for sure. |
