Top two facing All in. 100NL
Ok so this was the hardest decision all day. Villian is 21/3.3 over 223 hands. I have seen him make some tricky plays and he likes to slowplay and check raise his big hands.
In this hand he raised my bet on the flop, he raised me. At that point I figured he had a draw or top pair. I've only seen him raise a set on the turn or river. Two pair was a possiblity but I think it is out of his range. Re: Top two facing All in. 100NL
doubt hed call with 67 from mp in a full ring unless hes a terrible player. seems like set or 2 pair. id say its 50 50 whther or not ur ahead, altho that river might have killed ur hand.

Re: Top two facing All in. 100NL
If you put him on a draw or 2-pair, you must reraise the flop. If he has a draw, he won't be the turn unless he improves. If he has one pair, he might muck the turn, or check behind if a scary card hits. You need to reraise when you have a good idea you have the best hand. This is a situation where you need to play faster because of poor position.

If you 3 bet the flop, and get reraised, this is a much easier decision than the one you were faced with. If he just calls, the pot should big enough to jam it on a friendly turn card. |

Stop'n'go is gross here. You're not trying to keep the pot small and it doesn't grow it nearly fast enough for the stacks. Big 3 bet please.

Normally, I play this hand fast and I think might have been misapplying the concept of pot control. I was thinking that if I lead a safe turn, he would call with his flush draw or top pair without bloating the pot. He is also the type that would bluff big on a missed draw on the river, so I was planning to check/call any bluff on the river. I was also thinking if I 3 bet, he knows I have at least 2 pair and can play accordingly. Like I said I don't normally play it like this, but looking back, my turn decision is alot easier if I 3 bet. |
