Default Remaining at a table

Good Evening peeps,

Question - should you remain at a table after you have made a huge mistake, one which everyone has seen (eg total bluff gone wrong)?

Thanks in anticipation of your insight.

depends

you can use the "mistake" to your advantage later ... more likely to call now when you have the goods

If the "mistake" is a bluff gone bad, I will normally stay at the table and use this to my advantage. You will most likely get more action on your c-bets and preflop raises, so you may want to adjust accordingly.

If the mistakes were made because your 'friend' might be outclassed then he should leave the table ASAP.

I end up leaving a lot, mostly because I am angry at myself for doing something so dumb and I want to avoid tilt issues. Without tilt, I think it is probably +EV to stay at the table, as long as you recognize your mistake and understand (at least partially) how your opponents will view/adjust to your mistake.
