Default why is Kwame playing well?

Last three games (no Mihm) 40+ minutes, high teens in points and close to ten boards. Plus the odd block/assist. WTF is wrong with this guy?

It's only a couple of games, and he's getting minutes w/o Mihm in the lineup. Also, he's still having a bad year, with a low in Points per 40 minutes, and everything else no different than in year's past.

He's a player with a perfect NBA body, and will show you a couple of nice games here & there, but he's mentally fragile and lacks a consistent work ethic. I'd bet that playing w/ MJ as a teenager was the worst thing that could have ever happened to him.

And you'd win that bet. One can only hope that he gains confidence over the years and gets over the mental blocks.

I really hate him because I know that it won't last, but a little part of me hopes that it does. Why is he not averaging 15-8 at least?

He gets like 25 mpg & only gets 5 fga. If he played 34 minutes or so, like a starter, he'd get 8+ rpg.

in my sebatian telfair thread, there were arguments about why even go to college when you can develop and play at the highest levels against nba players. kwame brown is a good reason why not to do that.

17 million over 4 years (plus what he's getting this year, I couldn't find that). Ask Kwame if he made the wrong decision?

I second that. I think the jury is still out on whether jumping to the pros was a good idea. Guys like Moses Malone and Jermaine O'Neal didn't exactly light the world on fire right away coming into the NBA, but they turned into great pros with a change in scenery.
