Default Fish for the night?

I play live on Wednesdays and Saturdays, so come saturday I'm looking forward to playing. I start feeling sick on friday afternoon (head cold possible sinus infection and fever). Very hesitant on Sat. to make the drive down to foxwoods, but if I don't ,I got to wait untill Wednesday to play next, so I do. 10/20 LHE My table consists of 7 donkeys and 3 solid regulars ,including myself. After less then an hour of playing loose/passive poker one of the regulars, that I have played with many times before, proceeds to pull me aside and askd me if i'm on drugs, (literally I must have looked like a mess) since when do I limp w/ xx utg and points out two plays that were very obvoius laydowns, and why would I pay off. He seemed very concerned and recommended I quit fo the night. I know you foxwoods players are probably surprised that someone there would care enough to say that. Frankly I was, also. The game seemed just to easy for me to walk away. The soft seats were very soft and obvious players. But, instead of taking advantage I was throwing a party putting my money in with the worst of it time after time. My focus was non-existent and discipline nill. I could not put anyone on a hand, lay down hand, and I was dripping with tells. It was a complete disaster. 2 hours in I was stuck a rack of reds and must have looked like such a fish, I guess this will be +ev for next time I play with these players. So, I decide there is no way I can regain my losses, and/or make a profit playing poker tonight. I head upstairs to get even playing BJ, good idea right? wrong! Drop another 6 bills, blow my nose and head to floor 3 of the new garage and head home. Lesson of the story don't play sick. I didn't realize how much being sick can effect your play. Anyone have any experiences similar to this?

I was playing uncapped 10/25 NLH while really sick. I was making horrible play after horrible play. Then I moved all in on the river for 4k because I thought I had the nut flush; opponent ponders, calls with the second nut flush -- I excitedly table my cards only to realize I misread my hand.

Playing sick is massively -ev.

Sounds familiar. I had a bad head cold, but friend wanted to go to the casino and had even taken the day off from work. We'd made the decision to go the week before, so even though I didn't feel well, off we went. I couldn't read hands, couldn't concentrate and just flat wasn't sure what to do most of the time. I don't think I lost much, but that's only because I wasn't getting many hands to play. The ones I did get were the kind that can play themselves. A good thing in my condition. Anyway we left after 4 or 5 hours and I wished I'd never went in the first place. I know I'll never do it again. It just was no fun at all and definitely -EV. The only good thing about the experience was that the other players at the table were absolute fish or I probably would have lost my ...umm...uh...donkey.
