two readless hands from semi six max noob
these hands both happened almost simultaneously and i wondered about both of them. i have no reads on any players because i don't normally play six max or these limits.
i've played a little shorthanded but it's mostly heads up or three handed, but i'm no six max expert. i guess the QT hand is a fold or raise preflop, but there was a limper so i went ahead and played. Re: two readless hands from semi six max noob
I'm by no means expert myself either. I'd like to bet the river in hand 1. and fold to a raise. If these players are loose they will call you with worse hands and probably raise you with the straight if they have it. Checking here might induce a bluff and make you fold the best hand readless. (If you were planning to fold).
Hand 2. I fold pf. Other than that I like it. |

Re: two readless hands from semi six max noob
If someone bet on the river hand one would be hard, the way it is im really glad noone did and Im really pleasantly surprised if my hand holds up.
In hand two what is your question? It all looks standard. I dont think pre-flop is too bad, on the button it would be a call, so it cant be that bad on CO. -Kai |

Re: two readless hands from semi six max noob
The first hand I'll probably bet and fold to a raise on the river. If some of them had a 5 he had a straight already on the turn, so "only" a ten improves somebody to a straight, and a 98 improved to two pair. Those hands will bet anyway so you don't save anything by check/calling, and if you bet yourself some pairs will call you.
I don't know what the problem is with second hand, as it looks totally fine. SB has a better ten almost never, and except for 88 you would have heard of any better hands earlier. Also, you should not let unknowns in these levels scare you with their donkbets. |

Re: two readless hands from semi six max noob
the question in hand two is mostly the river play. i was thinking it might be a call but i went with a raise.
donk bets usually scare me. |

Re: two readless hands from semi six max noob
I'm not very good at this either but...
Hand 1: I think you can value bet this river. You can almost rule out a 5, because you probably would have been raised on the turn, that means we're scared of two pair or a ten. I think bet/fold to a raise might be best here. But I wouldn't necessarirly fold to a raise. Hand 2: I have no problem with your call and your decision not to let off the gas. You've yet to be three bet and there are no straights or flushes available. I'd actual be more scared the villain will turn over a bigger ten (KT, AT). |
