Default Card dead, need chips - help?!?

big stacks to the left of me, big stacks to the right, here i am stuck in the middle....

I'm still a noob at these MTTs

31 players left, 7K in chips, av is 16K. Blinds 200/400/25 by the time you read this. No bubble, winner takes a WSOP package. Table is kind of quiet, no real aggressors, but i've been seriously card dead. How much time do i have before i become a push bot? and what's my range?

Now you should be a pushbot. Remember that since its winner take all, survival is worthless and chip accumulation is at a premium.

Listen to me now and believe me later ....

"Card dead" is an excuse for not being willing to move some chips with less than a strong hand and/or position.

Everybody gets the same cards, meaning everybody will get the same crap cards as you from time to time. The key is what you do with them.

If you aren't getting any big cards, especially in UTG, UTG+1 and UTG+2, then you should be almost compelled to splash around a bit with a lesser hand, such as raising 2xBB with something like T9o or 89s.

There are two reasons for this. First and foremost, you might make something out of nothing. If you do, where most people would fold these hands, then you have gained and they have lost. Second, if you are only playing the nuts or near nuts from EP, you will only get paid off by fools and weak players when you do catch a hand.

This is expecially true in a game like your's, where it is a winner take all situation. You can't afford to let yourself get blinded off too far.

Granted raising EP with 10% of your stack with T9s is a bit risky, but getting blinded off from bad cards and playing too tight is just as risky.

make sure to keep in mind that in those WSOP sats the jump from 600/1.2k to 1k/2k SUCKS BAD, also I'm watching, place well.

Cheers!

Also you don't have to accumulate all the chips immediately, I like to make sure I just have enough chips to get aggro when it gets down to 10 or 11, and also to turn it into a 1 table SnG for a WSOP package. GL sir.
