KQs w/ huge flop draw ($400NL)
6-handed live game. $400NL, 2/3 blinds.
Villain is a moderately loose, average player. He has made a couple good reads and big laydowns earlier in the night. No special description beyond that. Villain has $550, and I cover. I pick up K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in the CO. Folds to me, and I raise to $12. Villain makes it $30 on the button. Blinds fold, and I call. Heads up to the flop. Flop ($65): 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I check. Villain bets $40. I make it $140. My table image is tight, and the $100 raise is the biggest I have put in during this session (~4 hours). |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Definitely lead the flop [/ QUOTE ] 3-bet all-in. Standard. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] this is assuming villain raises. but if he doesn't we get to the turn for $40 with still plenty of stack left so I don't mind. |

how about when villain just calls flop bet and turn comes a blank, are we just firing PSB again?

how about when villain just calls flop bet and turn comes a blank, are we just firing PSB again? [/ QUOTE ] so if I bet $40 on the flop and he calls, pot is around $140 on the turn with each of us having around $470 left. I probably check call. if he just smoothcalled the flop bet, I feel that there are very few hands he would bomb the turn with. if he has a set, and I bet the turn, he'll probably raise but if I show a lot of weakness by checking, there is a chance that he leads weak to lure in what he perceives to be QQ. if he smoothcalled the flop with AA/KK, then hes worried about sets and I doubt he bombs the turn either as he doesn't want to get checkraised. |
