call all-in?
Lice 2-5 NL. Villain is a maniac who is hitting everything. He covers the table by over $1k. I have $500.
Villain opens UTG for $15. Seven callers including me in the middle with 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Both blinds included. Flod is 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 5 people check, I bet $70. Floded to villain who check-raises to $500, and its folded to me. I have to call $415 to win around $650. His range is probably an overpair or a 7, not a boat. He is not on complete air, and if he had nut flush draw he plays it slower, as he did earlier. Ok spot to gamble? |

Re: call all-in?
Yes, call.
the direct odds are essentially there against an overpair, and if you double up off of him with this hand, he'll probably go on wild-monkey-tilt. Which means you'll be in great shape to get much more of his money (which is ample). The rest of the table will probably see you as more of a gambler too, which will get more bets paid off later. |

Re: call all-in?
I wouldn't call this, it's just not a good enough spot for me. But if your into gambling, it might be okay. If the board wasn't paired, it'd be better.

Re: call all-in?
I think the key here is the value of having a big stack with this maniac at the table. If you think he'll continue to play this way and won't tighten up if you win here, you should call. You doubling now will give you a chance to stack for 200bbs later, and that would be good. If you lose, you can always rebuy back to 100bb. Plus, this will do wonders for your image. Yeah, I'd call here.

Re: call all-in?
Thanks, I decided to call as well. He had 78. One of us hit on the river.
