Stop it. A7s is a find hand to limp in ep. So is 22, 33, or any xx < 7. QTs rocks. KJs is closer to a raise than a fold, and at many tables hands like K8s are fine to limp, sometimes even in EP. When someone plays these hands, you should not be saying "just fold preflop." No.
Now, here is a little secret some people don't want you to know: you can be a 15/8 (full ring) player at .5/1 and still win consistently. And if your postflop game needs work then this is not that bad of a style. However, as you improve, you should loosen up. I don't want to spout numbers and be a stats nazi, but if you play 20/12 you can mos def win. Hell, 22/15 can probably win (though I'm not good enough to be a significant winner playing that loose). The point of this quickly constructed post: many (not all) of you newer guys are CONSTANTLY posting advise to fold before the flop where people should not fold. So you need a good scolding. So next time someone open raises KQo, or limps Axs (both fine moves at most tables), try to hold off saying "fold pf" and look closely and carefully at the rest of the hand. If things do not change, and soon, kittens will die. Disclaimer: my stats are about 19/13. This style works well for me. I was once 15/8 tightie, but as I got better I was able to loosen up quite a bit. |

Honesly, I see that advice given more when faced with a raise in front and you sitting in the SB with K8s.
Maybe I'm just missing the threads where people are saying to fold Axs preflop, I fall into the Axs limp always category. I personally don't like anything less than K9s, but I also suck. |

You might understand this, but I just want to clarify that I don't want newbs taking away from this post "Greg said to cold call QTs." You have K8s in the SB, UTG open raises, you get 2 cold callers, then semi-coldcalling there is acceptable in a 1/2 blind structure (just don't get married to the hand). |
