Default How safe/secure is Neteller?

I don't really like carrying around more money than I need to on the sites themselves, and my Neteller is linked to a Canadian bank account, meaning that I get raked on service fees if I move money back and forth. Firepay has no exchange rate fees, but guess what? Party doesn't let you withdraw to Firepay; hooray! Also, Firepay has horrible customer service.

Anyway, would it be perfectly safe to leave $70k on Neteller? Is there any chance of them going bankrupt and losing my money? If it isn't really safe, I can find a way to avoid leaving too much in Neteller, but it's convenient if I can just stick it there.

Yes, but it's a very small chance.

Only if United States bans online gambling! So contact your local Canadian congressman(or whatever you guys have) and inform him to put pressure on the US!

I'd be much more concerned with with an unauthorized transfe of your account / hacking of your account than of Neteller going under.

It appears from others who have posted here that if somebody is able to get funds out of your account that Neteller assumes no responsibility and is not too helpful in trying to get the money back.

There were some threads about this a while back. It concerns me slightly that if you forget your password, they will automatically email it back to you. This puts into question the security of your password. Most banks and other sites can't do this - if you forget your password they create a new (secure) one which you then change at your end.
