I really like it.

Only thing that bothers me is if he's a 2+2er (I guess we're supposed to assume that means he's good), then I'm surprised he'd bet so aggro on the turn with a hand like QQ.

I like the call preflop as it disguises your hand to a thinking player.

After that I don't know what do to. If I was UTG, after you call the flop, I would definitely put you on a flush draw. He very well could have an over pair and might be willing to call your push to what he percieves to be as a bluff. But I dunno. Tricky spot indeed.

I think it's alright, in the long run I'm not sure if this way of playing it is more +EV than just playing straight up, eg. reraising preflop, reraising on the flop, etc.. I'm guessing either you were beat or he had an overpair with a diamond. The only nice thing about the turn is if he has something like QQ or JJ with a diamond, the pot is already so big he'll feel like he has to call.

aj,

I like it a lot. I've played a few big pairs like this recently. The one problem I have with it, is that I'm always scared that the raiser will think I've flopped a set, and might shut down his QQ that I might've got more action from had I played it differently

AJ,

Good line, I would expect this line to get much more out of hands you crush than a more orthodox line.

rgrds,

if you feel like being tricky, i think this is a pretty cool line. gives him an ugly decision if he also has an overpair.
