Series 7 license question.
Quick question. I recently started working as a stockbroker in Wall Street after a year and a half layoff. I've been working there for around a week now, and I'm going insane. I'm taking six college courses currently. I have 3 midterms this week and another 2 next week. I just can't take this anymore. Graduation is key for me, at this point, so I have no other choice but to eventually quit this job. Will my license be reactivated after resigning the firm? Do I have to take this this test over again if I start working for another firm that requires a series 7, in September 2006? I've only been in this firm for a week now. I plan on taking the continuing education this Friday. After I pass that exam I plan on telling my boss that I can't handle this job while juggling 6 college courses. Thanks in advance.

Re: Series 7 license question.
I'm not sure, as I have no NASD licenses. I think if you get another job in a short period (~2 years?) you won't lose the license...

Re: Series 7 license question.
Once you terminate from an NASD member firm, you have a period of two years to associate with another member firm without having to retake the NASD examination(s) that you hold (e.g. Series 6, 7, 9, 10, 24 or 55). The date is calculated from the termination date stated on your most recent Form U5.
There ya go, got it off a quick google search. |
