6 player vs 10 player SnGs- Any consensus?
I did a search for "6 player" and "6 person" in STT and didnt come up w/anything.
anyway, is there a consensus on which format is better? if so, why is one better than the other? Also, is there a better strategy for 6player sngs than the standard "stay tight/pushbot" 10player strategy? |

Re: 6 player vs 10 player SnGs- Any consensus?
I played 1 and came in second but I'm not a fan. Pushbot never really happens - blinds are too low compared to stacks so you end up playing a ton of "real" poker. It would likely be very tought to massively multi-table to since you are in so many hands making post-flop decisions.
The first 3 guys all went out in the first 5-10 minutes in my one game so that may have had a lot to do with this. You can play a lot of hands in 10 minutes when down to 3. rvg |

Re: 6 player vs 10 player SnGs- Any consensus?
I love the 6 max. They are so much softer than the 10seaters. I make very good money in them. I muti but I only play 2 tables and that is a 10 and a 6 at the same time. By the time the 6 is over (20-35min) I have anywhere from 1700 to 4000 at the 10.

(ie: you dont treat the early levels of a 10player sng as a 10player ring game.) |

Re: 6 player vs 10 player SnGs- Any consensus?
Im a huge proponent of the 6 man SnGs, so far as Pstars is concerned. Im ITM above 50% in these at both the $13 and $38 buyins, tried a $119 one yesterday and placed 3rd with the play not being any different from the lower buyins.
