Default Have to go to OKC overnight, Firelake or drive to Winstar?

I've got a business trip to OKC. I'll arrive on Tuesday and have my business meeting finished up around 6:30 pm. My flight back to Austin is at 9:00 am out of Will Rogers Airport in OKC...

I'd like to play no limit; 2/5 would be great, but 1/2 would be acceptable.

Is the Winstar worth the extra drive (Google says 2h 9m from downtown OKC) or should I stick to something closer like Firelake (Google says only 39 minutes from downtown OKC)?

If I crushed the 2/5 NL table at MGM for 340 BB over 8 hours I'll assume that I should be able to do fine at either place. (Although there were quite a few drunk tourists at the MGM so I'm obviously not expecting to be able to do that well again.)

Darn. Was hoping to get some feedback before I left. My plane takes off at 9:00 am. I'll probably be able to jump back on 2+2 before I leave for a casino tonight.

For what it's worth, I did use the search and most of the posts I saw were along the lines of "Firelake is great!" followed up by "Firelake sucks. Newcastle is better."

I was really hoping to get something along the lines of "I live in OKC and the drunk college students making the run up from Dallas make the trip to Winstar worth the drive." or "I live in OKC and I just go to Firelake/Newcastle/other the extra hour and half of seat time makes the shorter trip better."

Of course it's my own fault for not posting earlier. I just assumed that Winstar was closer to OKC than it was. The night before my trip was the wrong time to use Google to verify that...

do yourself a favor and save drive time. go to the closer casino b/c neither will be THAT much better. this is assuming that firelake has 2/5 nl. i've only played winstar.

I guess this is too late, but the closest room to him in OKC is Newcastle Gaming Center in Newcastle, about 10-15 minutes from the airport.

regeotones, good advice.

DuggleBogey, not too late and thanks for the heads up on the closeness of Newcastle!

I'm about to call Newcastle (17 miles from downtown) and Firelake (39 miles from downtown) to see what kind of games they spread and what the rake is.

Firelake: 5/10 NL with $500 max buyin(???) and 1/2 NL with $200 max buyin. Forgot to ask about rakes.

Newcastle: Seems a bit better:
Blinds - Max buyin
1/2 200
2/3 300
2/5 500
5/10 2000 (only on Wednesday and Friday, could have that wrong)
Rake: 10% up to $40. ($4 max)

I guess this is kind of off topic, but now that I've made up my mind (Newcastle it is), doesn't 5/10 with a 500 buyin seem like a push fest? 1st position min raises, gets 4 callers, the cut off raises to 50 and by the time action completes you could have a 250+ pot before the flop... Any reasonable bet into that pot and you're committed.

The 5/10 with 2k buy in seems much more interesting. Depending on how folks play there is a lot of room to maneuver with a 200 BB stack.
