Default Non pokertracker reads are important, guys

After having my daily view of the forums, I've come to realise the bulk of Small stakes content is dealing with guys whom they have a strong pokertracker read, but no real betting tendancy read.

I always write exntensive notes on my opponents. Its very EV+, saves a lot of money, and makes a lot of money. Not writing notes costs pots and bets. Stuff like "cont bets with anything", or "peels any flop but folds turns", or "bluffs at fd coming in" are essential for preventing fish from stabbing at your glorious winrate.

But you guys still don't get it, and still depend on a little program to tell you what to do. Stop being lazy, and start writing notes like I do. I sit down at any random table at party now and have at least 3 players with notes, a mixture of tags and fish. Then I make notes for the rest. Every session review, I make more notes.

Normally I'd be apprehensive about giving away very EV+ advice like this, but in this case, you guys will continue to be lazy and let a program play your poker. Enjoy your 1BB winrate + super variance.

I rarely take notes, play four - five tables, and am usually distracted with AIM, 2p2, etc. And my winrate is not 1 bb/100.

There was a brief time when i took as many notes as possible, but i can usually get a good enough read w/ just PT.

That said, u're probably right, and if i ever grow a pair and move up, when i cut back the tables, i know i will take more reads.

Edit - do u mean when u review others sessions (HH review), u take notes on those players, or when u review ur own sessions? Again, i probably should be reviewing my sessions, but i do think a lot about particular hands and what i most need to concentrate on after my playing is done.

So like, maybe I could put in a note that says "Cont Bet % = 98 according to PT" or "Fold to flop bet 2%, but fold to turn bet 50% - according to PT"? ; )

Paying attention is +EV but -Fun

I'll stick to PT until my opponents make me pay attention.
