Default AK OOP gets disgusting flop

I hate playing OOP! There is at least one thing that I would do differently, but lets wait for some opinions. Go ahead, tell me, I'm a donkey!

Villain came in with a very short stack, and built it up a bit. Nothing special about him.

Poker Room skin
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
5 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $28.85
CO: $26.45
Button: $62.20
SB: $46.00
Hero: $95.35

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG raises to $1.5, CO folds, Button calls $1.5, SB folds, Hero raises to $5, UTG calls $3.5, Button calls $3.5.

Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($15.25, 3 players)
Hero bets $12, UTG raises all-in $23.85, Button folds, Hero...

OOP with a flop like that and im checking and hoping to see a free turn. If you are raising pre-flop, raise more...You are out of position with a raise and a call behind so this may be the perfect time for an isolation raise of say 8-10. But then again, I overvalue AK pretty badly preflop.

I agree pre-flop totally, that was the one leak I found from this hand. I feel pretty lost with the flop. I was trying to represent big pocket pair, and naturally hoped for two folds behind me. How about calling the all-in. About this I'm very confident though.

Just call pf or raise a lot more - to about $7-8 total. I prefer raising to take it down pf, which most of the time you will do.

Check-fold flop...as played fold. NB If you really want to take a stab at this pot, then lead turn if both check behind on flop.

You have an unimproved AK against an opponent who is telling you that he has you beat...save your money for a better spot.

Pot odds for calling the all-in are near 1:5.

Against AJ my equity equity is 19%, so it's a call
KJ it about the same.
I'm ahead of a flush draw.

Against a set and AA I'm almost drawing dead, so it's a call in my opinion.

You are ahead of a flush draw assuming they don't have a pair to go with it...also you are drawing to 3 outs against AJ and KJ...a 5:1 isnt enough to call with what is probably a 3 outer or drawing dead. You are overvaluing your AK, this is a leak...your spewing money all over the time. One of the regulars back me up?

On the flop, you committed yourself, after which you should call.

Next time, bet less on the flop so that you can happily fold to a raise.
