Default overpair on a paired 2s board

game is 5/10nl no particular read on villain,
villain has 1000 and i have 1500
i have q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

pre flop
Hero is on the button raises to 40, sb and bb(villain calls)

flop 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
villain bets out 120 hero raises to 500 villain goes all in and i call

how do i play this hand, I cant see any logical hand that would beat me i doubt he bets into me with pocket 9s, so that leaves with aces and kings but i doubt hes tricky enough to flat call with them pre flop, now should i of flat called ont he flop?

This is 100% read dependant. My standard without reads is to call with queens, just because of the pair of 2s on the board. I think I'd fold jacks.

well, then that explains it

i think if you're going to raise that flop you have to call an all-in

for sure, but is calling the flop a reasonable option here?

flat call the flop. there are no draws. villain isnt calling that raise with JJ or TT. especially to 500
