I like your bet on the flop. We are definitelly thinking about how to extract the most, not about protection. Both c/r and betting has the same chance of trapping a 3rd player but if you got lucky and trapped mp your way, you could get him for 3. However since both MP and SB folded I think i would just call the raise with the intention of c/r the turn.

Turn, i already said what id like to do, but given your action bet is good.

is bet/call flop c/r turn bad because you're worried he checks through pps?

that line gets us an extra SB when it works. only problems would be villain checking behind or folding to a turn c/r. i don't think either happens to often on this board. still, OP's line gives villain the chance to really overplay his hand. the flop could get capped, or villain could raise again on the turn.

Thats true. I guess its read based? If you think you're up against a player who will cap the flop then go for the 3-bet line and c/r the turn. If you think you're up against a calling station who will never fold to a turn c/r after calling flop raise then go for that. Am I on the right track?
