Default All things considered... how’s this structure?

Where I live, it is very hard to find tournaments worth playing. Most in town are charity tourneys with the house keeping 25% to sometimes even 60% of the buy in. Plus, they have horrible structures. I mostly stick to internet & home games.

I have found one that is much better by comparison, but it is 2 hours away at a riverboat casino. At $2.50 to $2.75 per gallon of gas, & me driving a Ram pickup... is this structure worth the drive?

$200 + $20. T1500 Starting chips. 20 minute rounds.

9 $200 $500 $1,500

compared to the vast majority of low buyin b&m tourneys that arent in california or vegas that is actually a really good stucture (however compared to vegas or CA it is garbage), given the choice i would definitely play in it.

20 minute blinds for a small tournament is REALLY impressive compared to most tournamemnts....the original responder is spoiled by decent structures.

Cool. They also have $85+15 & $45+10 WITH re-buys & add on. You start with t1000 but it’d be t2000 if you re-buy right away. Same structure.

I have never played a re-buy tourney before though. What changes to my game should I employ besides no bluffing (or very little?) during the re-buy period?

I played in a tourney with this exact same structure about a month ago. You definitely have to build a stack very quickly or else you'll be flipping a coin for most of your chips in the 3rd or 4th level.

Sure “Count” (I love that movie)

It is Caesars Indiana. You can see # of entrants & payout of some previous weeks here.

Mike,

I posted the structure up on our site here...

http://www.tworags.com/index.php?ACT...nt&ID=1439

At the bottom, you can get a sense of how the blinds erode your stack.

I'm trying to beef up the Live tourney section of the site. If you play it, post me on how many people there were at the breaks and how long it ran. Also, if you play other live tournaments and feel like PMing me with the structure, I'll put them up.

Got nothing to do it this damn cell anyway...

Ed

P.S. Any other comments welcomed.
