Did Shana make a mistake in leaving WPT?

She was the model spokesperson for a hot new trend and the benchmark of all TV poker programs. She was well known in poker circles, but not really a mainstream celeb ...yet.

Her star was rising...then she quits just a couple of seasons into what could have turned into something much bigger.

Now she's no where to be seen anymore.

In that line of work, with the opportunities that lay ahead for her, i wonder why she chose to step back.

I'd imagine she is doing well out of her "playboy video for PP sign up site." Who knows? Maybe she wanted to start a family?

Her hubby was a producer of the show. Maybe that's why she left.

I bet she was getting quite a few offers to do things while she was doing the show. Then, once she leaves the show, the offers dry up. I think similar things happen to SNL castmembers.

I'm not sure about that. WPT seems to be on the decline as a TV show, as well as WPTE as a company.

That's why Travel channel now has PPT on in addition to WPT and there is something like 30 weeks of original programming from them. Not exactly a company in decline.

As for Shana, my understanding is the marriage went south and she wanted to start a new chapter in her life. Not all celebrities need to have fame as part of a new chapter in their life. I wish her the best.
