Default itm, on the button, 180 sng

What are the thoughts of the mtt folks. I play stt and I think this hand is push. is that true in an mtt?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t1200 (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Hero (t15680)
SB (t11130)
BB (t19165)
UTG (t13360)
UTG+1 (t9265)
MP1 (t28701)
MP2 (t2955)
MP3 (t19280)
CO (t18840)

Preflop: Hero is Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

all fold to Hero raises to t15605 and is all in. good or no?

well, I only have about 13 bb left if he sb or bb push or stop n go I have wasted some folding equity. Furthermore my hand is likely the best hand but would be difficult to play post flop if I don't hit. I am not saying you are wrong, but with almost everyone in the tourney at about 10 to 15 bb I want to steal.

That said, do I still have FE in a $22 180 sng if I only raise to 3x and then fold later if I need to? In a party poker $22 stt there are too many callers once you get under 10bb so I would push her to keep my stack above 10 bb for a couple of rounds.

Looks good to me.

I could also raise 3x...but most likely would push.

your lines fine and it completely shuts down stop n gos which is its advantage. but ive noticed in stars mtts people are REALLY eager to play back at you preflop when you button raise. i feel like you can get worse hands to play back at you and push over. by pushing pf you basically force them to only call with better hands.

its not a bad line, i wouldnt do it though. id raise and push over any reraise or play postflop poker if they called.

You have a strong hand but I'd be happy taking it down the blinds and antes. I like the push.

If SB and/or BB have shown that they like to resteal, I like the push best. Other than that, I'd make a normal raise and see what happens from there. You have position on the flop.

I think a push is ok here in most circumstances, but the normal raise would be my play most of the time.

If I raise 3x and hit any piece of the flop I'm going broke anyway, so this is not a concern.

thats not really the same thing. by raising pf you give them the option of pushing weaker hands into you.
