Default Back from the brink

Two consecutive hands in a $5 MTT on Stars.

I admit, I have no idea what I was doing in the first hand, but I figured that even if it turned out that I was against KK, with such a huge overlay, it couldn't be too bad.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (9 handed) converter

Button (t1560)
Hero (t1770)
BB (t1580)
UTG (t3145)
UTG+1 (t3865)
MP1 (t1750)
MP2 (t1090)
MP3 (t1415)
CO (t1505)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 raises to t60</font>, MP3 calls t60, CO calls t60, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to t360</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to t660</font>, MP2 calls t600, MP3 calls t600, CO folds, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to t1770</font>, BB calls t920 (All-In), MP2 calls t430 (All-In), MP3 calls t755 (All-In).

Flop: (t5915) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players, 3 all-in)</font>

Turn: (t5915) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players, 3 all-in)</font>

River: (t5915) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players, 3 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: t5915

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
Hero has Qs Ac (two pair, aces and queens).
BB has Js Jd (straight, ace high).
MP2 has 4h 4s (flush, ace high).
MP3 has As Qc (two pair, aces and queens).
Outcome: MP2 wins t4420. BB wins t1305. Hero wins t190. </font>

Then this happens, and I'm back in it, bitches.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (8 handed) converter

SB (t1305)

MP2 (t1445)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Flop: (t1010) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(5 players)</font>

River: (t1220) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>

Final Pot: t1220

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
MP2 has Js Qd (high card, queen).
Hero has As 4h (high card, ace).
Outcome: MP2 wins t1010. Hero wins t210. </font>

Thanks MP2, I'm sure I couldn't have done it without you.

Ness,

Sort of. I worked the donations up enough that I have a short roll for .02/.05 and .05/.10 games with an occassional low buy-in tournament every now and then.

And no, it must have been an impostor.

Fold preflop twice.

I'm not even kidding, this hand could make half of MTT's barf.

Besides, $5 is (some number of NL buyins)!

I moved up to .05/.10, it's only a half buy-in now!
