I am trying to play 2-4 with my TAG style. I can't beat players who play suited connectors until I understand them. Here's what I don't understand. Do they need to play the hand all the way to the river to get their full value? Here's what I'm thinking, please tell me where I'm wrong. I need help.
These people who know how to play them, play from behind. They call a raise pre-flop knowing they are currently behind. They call a flop bet with no pair and no draw, except backdoors and look to pick something up on 4th and 5th streets. When they hit, they hit big for something like 15BB. When they don't hit, they're out at most 2 or 3BB. |

Now here is reality:
They play almost every hand. They don't fold on the flop with no pair and no draw because they don't know any better. They lose massive amounts of money and occasionally back into a big hand and win a big pot. BTW you may have ruined you rep by cross posting something so worthless. GL |

[/ QUOTE ] It should be pretty obvious without giving it much/any thought that these guys are just giving their money away, and are getting lucky occassionally. With backdoor flush draw or straight draw they have about 2 "outs" on the flop, so they'll win 8/100, but we'll be nice and give them 10/100 for the times they make two pair or trips. In 100 tries they invest 200-300 (250BB) and hit 10 times. They win 15BB 10 times = 150BB. They just lost 100BB. Yeah, their system works great. |

Cross-Post of my response to your original thread:
so how often do they hit runner runner on you to win these pots? they spend 2/3 BB to win 12-15 BB. but how often do they win? do they magically hit backdoor draws >20% of the time? do they never call down with 87s on a 7KQ5T board? everyone goes through this "omg waah people never fold and they keep beating me" phase. the great thing about the internet and these forums is that all of these pointless whine posts are archived. the sad thing about people is that they don't bother looking for the old posts. i [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] every single player who has ever given you a bad beat. i am glad that they succeed in making you whine about "how well they know how to play from behind." i [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] them all. |

These LAG's are dangerous because they stumble onto strong TAG lines by accident. They literally bluff their way into a TAG position. Try to do what you say they do that is impossible. That's where the money is. |

After running through some simple math, it should be obvious that these are the people that you want at your table, playing every hand, calling for his/her 2 outter or 5 outter, chasing back door flush draws, etc, etc, etc.

You're also never seeing the times that they DO call with runner runner possibilities, hit a turn, and miss the river where they fold. If you saw how often they do that, then you'd realize how much money they're throwing away.
