Default Vegas Comp Question

Hi all,

I am 2 yr internet player that is planning my first poker trip to Vegas. I would like to know what type of comps I can expect to get from the Casinos. I would be playing 2/4 or 5/10 NL for 10 hours per day and plan to stay for 3 - 4 days. In a perfect world I would expect:

1) A ride to and from the airport
2) A free room
3) 1 or 2 free meals a day (for me and wife)
4) 2 tickets to a show one night

So my questions are as follows:

1) Am I crazy or is this possible? If crazy, what might be expected?
2) Which Casinos would be best to approach?
3) Are there times of the year where they offer more?
4) Can such a deal be worked out ahead of time, with an understanding, that I would have to pay for everything if I did not play the promised hours?

Any other general comments would be appreciated.

I recommend you adjust your expectations way way down. On all points.

No, No, No, and No.

You're confusing poker with black-chip craps and blackjack play. You can get a reduced room rate at many places if you play 4-8 hours per day (depending on the casino), but it will be nothing close to free. You can get $0.75 to $3/hr in comps for playing (again, depending on the casino). You can schoomze and bribe the floor people and maybe wrangle a $6-$25 food comp now and then.

Just plan to pay for everything and be pleasantly surprised when you get a reduced-price meal for yourself once a day.

No more $3/hour at IP. Its either 1 or 2 bucks/hour now. I keep getting conflicting reports.

In a perfect world you would be committed to a mental institution because you are obviously living on a different planet than the rest of us.

Have you been given handouts your whole life and you actually think that your expectations are realistic, or are you seriously this delusional?

1) Get a cab.
2) Get a poker rate if you play 4+ hours a day and they are available.
3) Maybe a discounted meal once a day for just you.
4) In your wet dreams.

Good one.

Do what I do: travel with a rated BJ player, scam a roll-away bed in his suite, and pay for everything else.

He is confusing poker grinders with the big whales that come in and get catered to in Vegas.

pyth,

I get all that stuff and much more. The key to this is playing lots of blackjack and craps.
