Why no PLO in Casinos
I've been to a number of casinos and have never seen a pot-limit omaha game offered. I believe its a game growing a lot of momentum and im surprised it isnt offered anywhere live. Anyone have an idea why this is?

Re: Why no PLO in Casinos
PLO just isn't a particularly popular game in north america. Casinos have no problem filling up HE tables, and there is very little insentive (as far as attracting players) to offer PLO, so they don't. I don't believe it's anything more specific then that....

They offer it in the South, and also in Vegas - here and there.
But I am also curious as to why it is not spread more widely. |

Re: Why no PLO in Casinos
It is more popular in europe than america, although as noted is popular in the south. Plus casinos don't like PL games, whether PLO or PLHE because they are slower. And even if they just time charge, then the dealers have to be better trained to keep track of the pot and know the math involved in making pot sized raises. Plus I think there is a correlation between the relative scarcity of limit omaha games and PLO games. Online and B&M casinos in euroland is where it is at for PLO. But if some of the sick gambling types in LA or SF ever really started to like PLO and insist it be spread, then that would be PLO heaven.

It's definitely a lot more difficult to deal.
I love the action though - I'd cry if they started spreading it at Foxwoods. |

Re: Why no PLO in Casinos
Yeah for PLO you have to be in Europe. It is much easier here to find daily PLO action in casinos where there is maybe 1 Nolimit Holdem game running in the whole year.
