I'm curious as to the strategy in the rebuy satelites. As each additional rebuy does not add to your possible payouts, is it worth rebuying at all? In a rebuy tournament with cash prizes, it is advisable to build a big stack at all costs. (within reason) However in the $10+R to the $650 sats to the WSOP, should you pay just the one buyin, and be happy with the fact that others are incorrectly adding more to the prize pool? Or should you still attempt to build your stack by any means necessary, and plan to make several rebuys.

I assume there is a limit... (extreme example, you shouldn't spend more on rebuys as the seat you are trying to win costs.)
I believe I saw a $30R tourney to win seats at the $220 Sunday tourney. Rebuy + Addon is already up to $90. I would think that only buying in would be a decent strategy? Note: This is to sats only, not a rebuy cash tourney. |

Although, playing it like a 90$ freezeout is probably profitable. |

[/ QUOTE ] Okay, but what if you buy-in for 11, rebuy for 10, and then get busted when some guy rivers a boat against your nut flush? Rebuy, add on, and add again, and suddenly you're in for $51, and the max payout is $215. I guess my question is this: in the $11R to the $215, when do you stop rebuying? Sam |

For rebuy sats, I try to only spend 10-20% of the actual seat cost, staying closer to the 10% range if possible.

So how do you play the $11R? (ie. which buy-in opportunity do you skip?)
