Default Hypothetical situation...

Would you ever? Here is a play I just thought of, maybe its been discussed before, I dunno...

Its your first major tournament, with a big buy in and major prizes for the final table. You have a very large stack around the cutoff point and two smaller desperate stacks go all in in front of you and you hold AA. You go all in, and then see that another player behind you with roughly the same size stack as you is seriously contemplating a call. You think, uh oh, I don't want to get outdrawn by him and bust out penniless, when you are already a big chip leader and likely to take another very big pot here.

So what do you do? Thinking quickly you show him your cards, and he folds KK. A king hits on the river.

1) i hope he calls and hope he doesnt suck out on me so im a huge chip leader going into the FT
who cares if someone goes all in with KK here? if u win this 80/20 ur a HUGE chip leader and can take down a large amount of money down in this tournament.

Not allowed. Not allowed even to say you have AA without showing him. See very recent thread titled 'Interesting situation from the 320$ WSOP' for more discussion.

Yeah, I really hate getting all in preflop with AA, that's the worst thing possible. I guess you hate money by getting KK to fold here.

I thought you are allowed to show your cards as long as you show everyone.

What is your question?

If you should show your hand? That would be cheating, so I can't believe that would be you question, so what is your question?

I'd do everything I could to entice a call from big stack KK. I can't think of a better time to take one of the most +EV gamble in hold 'em, and the sidepot will be Huge.
