What a strange line by villian. The flop looks like he has a flush draw but then he checkraises the turn...

I'd consider three betting the flop. It very well may be for value and it would be super dooper great if you could get anybody with a K to fold.

Overall I like the hand though.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why do I really need anybody with a K to fold the flop?

Thanks for the help.

That would be so that you would be the only one to hold the nut straight if a J fell on the turn or river.

I would have 3bet the flop. Not sure if we are good 1-13 times on the river.

Fold to c/r. What hands do we put Villian on that gives us
pot odds to call? 88 QJ ?

Grunch:
Any reads on MP1? I dont think your top pair is any good after the check/raise on the flop and turn.

Flop check/raise can mean some sort of straight/flush draw, that is trying to suck some more bets in, but the turn check/raise is really worrying, and there are people who do it with something like KJ. Of course some people might play something like QT this way, all this is heavily read dependent. Against something like QT you still have some redraw value.

I would seriously consider folding here, unless the villain is somewhat overaggressive and sometimes out of line after the flop.

It turns out the guy had KJo. I'm sort of kicking myself for calling the river after being check raised on the flop and turn. Should I have even called the turn check-raise?
