Anyone ever try/seen this stunt?
Saw this over the weekend while out of the hand at 1-2 NL at Seneca Allegany.
Flop hits, Player A bets. Player B moves all-in. Player A ponders a call, it must be atleast 15-20 seconds after the all-in, Player A says something like, "You got an overpair?". Player B responds "You called? Damnit You got me." acting all disappointed, but doesn't flip over his hand, everyone is saying he didnt call and Player B is like, "Oh man." and puts on an act, getting up and shaking his head. Player A calls, Player A's TPTK is up against a middle set. Player B gives a sly look to his buddy across the table as he rakes in a huge pot. |

Re: Anyone ever try/seen this stunt?
Who are the lowlifes out there who try this? I've never seen anything close to this in a real life card room.

Re: Anyone ever try/seen this stunt?
I think this is a scumbag tactic, but at the same time I hate when people ask stupid questions like "you got an overpair?" Get a clue moran.

Sounds like the same weak means strong type behavior that is commonplace at all tables. Please listen to CARO! He knows!

Lame play by player B, but nothing truly "wrong" about it. Player A is a fool for letting B influence his actions.

Re: Anyone ever try/seen this stunt?
This is hilarious and I would have had difficulty not laughing at Player A. If you're dumb enough to believe a single word that comes out of a poker players mouth, you deserve to be the a$$ end of these kind of shenanigans.

[/ QUOTE ] I once told another player that I folded pocket kings preflop. A king hit the flop, he called the betting the whole way, and his pocket QQ was beaten by two different AK hands. So I might have been a bit of an [censored] for having talked about my hand, but why in the everloving bejebus would ANYONE ever believe ANYTHING that is said at a poker table? Especially some douche saying "you got me" before the other player calls, or some moron claiming that he folded pocket Kings preflop? |
