Re: I dont understand differences in website shuffling mentioned in FAQ
you really don't need to understand. just know that they both use random number generators with high entropy sources (meaning there's lots of uncertainty, and can't be predicted), that actually ensure randomness. and they both produce a random "deck" for each hand.

Re: I dont understand differences in website shuffling mentioned in FA
I'll never believe that. No computer can generate a "true" random number. The shuffle "slice/selection" may be so large as to virtually gaurantee it cannot be predicted (cracked), but that does not mean it is random. It just means that if there are any flaws, and if it is not random there ARE flaws, their distribution is even so no one knows/can predict when the "random number" generator will shaft them, and it will.
Wait 50 years for quantum computers They'll give you randomness. |

[/ QUOTE ]The random generator uses a seed generated by the mouse movements of all players on the table & therefore cannot be predicted. [/ QUOTE ] That's not the same thing as random. It's just as good but not the same. |

Re: I dont understand differences in website shuffling mentioned in FA
The bottom line is that it doesn't matter; for all practical purposes it is at least as random as in a live casino.

I agree they're still pseudo-random numbers.
