.50/1 JJ against strange players . . .
Button is about 20/3/7.00(!) after 95 hands, and is all over the place - no distinct read, other than his bizarre stats, and the fact that he hasn't shown anything down this session . . . other villain is 75/3/1 and yeah.
I think I might have gotten fancy here (spew!), but also felt this line had merit at the time. Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 3 folds, MP1 calls, 3 folds, Button raises, Hero 3-bets, BB calls, MP1 calls, Button calls. Re: .50/1 JJ against strange players . . .
i reraise the flop and lead the turn. Giving a free card here is not a good idea with so many cards to beat you. FPS (fancy play snydrome) is not very healthy and should be cured at first signs of smyptoms in the micros.

Re: .50/1 JJ against strange players . . .
despite the other poster's advice to 3-bet the flop, i agree to wait until the turn to raise.
My reasoning is that you don't want MP1 there, while you want Button in. On the flop you give 7.5:1 to call for MP1, but on the turn you give 5:1. Thats besides the point, the key here is the read on the button. Its unlikely he will pay you off if you 3-bet the flop, but its almost a given that he leads the turn. An ace or king would be unfortunate for us, but the button is surely not folding for one more SB here. I say call the flop, c/r for a safe card or bet/call if there is a scare card (MP1 will pad the pot for us) |

Re: .50/1 JJ against strange players . . .
I think that I would have preferred to call down from the turn.
I would also be aware that you are beaten by a single 8 on the river, which MP could easily have been calling with. |
