Default Winning Poker Systems by Norman Zadeh

Is this 1970s book still useful for today's internet draw high games? Are there any Other Poker regulars who have read it and found it valuable and accurate for today's game?

IIRC, Mason said it was "must reading for serious players". If you are interested in draw check out John Fox's "Play Poker, Quit Working, Sleep Till Noon" which covers draw but is a great read for all players.

It deals with a different structure. Antes and Jacks or better were the order of the day. It is probably less useful than Mason's Winning Concepts In Draw And Lowball which itself is probably less useful than Albert Morehead's The Complete Guide To Winning Poker which deals with single blind games.

Yes, specifically where Zadeh covers 5CD with "ante and straddle" which is very similar to Paradise's structure.
Search for more on that.

It is more useful than Mason's _Winning Concepts_ in that that book is geared toward Gardena Draw with a bug, which isn't particularly prevalent anymore. Planet Poker had something similar to this the last time I looked there - which was a long time ago.

Another book still relevent to 5CD as it may still exist is Michael Wiesenberg's _Free Money_. It's at Gambler's Book Club. Mason rated this highly.

All of the above are still not as useful as TOP combined with Michael Wiesenberg's cardplayer articles on online draw. Use the search function to find those.

It's a good, useful book and it's available for a low price at the gamblers book club. Opening requirements are a little loose though. They are calculated for a rake free game.
